Just Live in the Moment

Yesterday, I saw a beautiful little baby girl dancing and just moving along to the rhythm of music. When I listened closely to what the sound was and where was it coming from, I realised that it was actually a very faint sound of a humming washing machine. I immediately started to smile, but what really dawned upon me was this sudden realisation of how easy and beautiful things could be, if listened to, if given a chance. Can you imagine yourself dancing to the buzz of a washing machine. Well, if I had not witnessed the happiness of that young girl first hand, I’d have shrugged my shoulders saying “Dancing to the sound of a Washing Machine. That’s just crazy”.

But, who really can define happiness ever. I guess for that little girl, that was all the music she wanted to groove to.

What has happened to simplicity, the simplest of gestures. When was the last time you took time to just sit and listen. When was the last time you simply looked at the sky and the stars and were taken aback by the beauty of it. Haven’t we all done that as children.
