YIN & YANG

A Yin & Yang Yoga class offers a balanced practice that combines the dynamic, energizing qualities of Yang with the calming, introspective qualities of Yin.

The class begins with a dynamic movement sequence during the Yang portion, typically lasting around thirty minutes. This segment focuses on building heat in the body, strengthening muscles, and improving flexibility through a series of flowing postures linked with breath.

Participants can expect to move through sun salutations, standing poses, and gentle flows designed to energize and invigorate the body.

Following the Yang portion, the class transitions into the Yin phase, which lasts for the remaining thirty minutes. In this segment, the pace slows down as participants settle into long-held poses, typically targeting the deeper connective tissues of the body, such as the hips, pelvis, and spine. These passive stretches are held for an extended duration, often ranging from two to three minutes or more, allowing for a deep release of tension and an opportunity to cultivate mindfulness and introspection.

Throughout the Yin phase, emphasis is placed on surrendering into each pose, finding stillness, and allowing the body to soften and open with each breath.

By combining the dynamic movement of Yang with the introspective stillness of Yin, Yin Yang Yoga offers practitioners a comprehensive and holistic practice that addresses both physical and mental well-being.

Participants can expect to leave feeling balanced, rejuvenated, and deeply relaxed, with a renewed sense of vitality and inner harmony.

Will love to see you on the mat.
